(CROCHET 15) - SMC Casternette Scarf Yarn - Crochet Rosette

To make a rosette, insert the crochet hook from front to back through single layer of the the yarn, just above the centre. |
Leave a gap of approximately 4cm and repeat, inserting the hook from the front to the back of the yarn. |
Now pull the hook back through the 1st stitch. This is the equivilent of doing a slip stitch when crocheting. |
Again, leave a gap of approximately 4cm and repeat, inserting the hook from the front to the back of the yarn. Now pull the hook back through the 1st stitch. You are now creating a chain, which gathers up the yarn. Repeat till you have 20 stitches and fasten off. |
To make up = Turn the frill upside down (so that cast off edge is at the top).
Start to roll the rosette around and stitch into place as you go with cotton thread.
Then stitch safety pin or brooch pin to the back.

(CROCHET 2) - EASY PEASY FLOWER
This is a really good flower to make if you're new to crochet. It has a large foundation ring - making it easy to work into and only uses basic stitches. I used a 4mm crochet hook and double knitting yarn.
Round 1 – Make 1 chain, then 19 double crochet into the ring. Join to 1st double crochet with a slip stitch. Fasten off.
Round 2 – With colour B – Join new colour into any stitch, make 1 chain, then 1 double crochet into same stitch.
Now make 2 chain, 1 treble into next stitch, 2 chain * 1 double crochet into next stitch, 2 chain, 1 treble into next stitch, 2 chain* Repeat from * to * all the way round, then join with a slip stitch between 1st chain and 1st double crochet. Fasten off.
With 1st colour - make 8 chain and join with a slip-stitch to form a ring.
